Strategies in Light Europe 2010
The first Strategies in Light Europe Conference and Exhibition, held at the Sheraton Frankfurt Hotel & Towers Conference Center, Frankfurt in September 2010, experienced an impressive debut attendance of more than 600 visitors from 44 countries.

Show highlights included a well-attended Keynote session which included presentations by Martin Goetzeler, president & CEO of OSRAM GmbH, who discussed the future of LED lighting; Jan Denneman, president of the European Lamp Companies Federation (ELC), who spoke about efforts to promote quality LED lighting within the European lighting industry; and John Magan, Deputy Head of Photonics Unit G5 of the European Commission (EC), who looked at lighting’s role in the Digital Agenda for Europe.
One of the conference-session highlights was the presentation by Vrinda Bhandarkar, LED Practice Analyst with Strategies Unlimited, who gave a global LEDs market overview and forecast. The opening day’s sold-out workshops each had over 60 attendees, and discussed standards, as well as essential factors for building the perfect luminaire.
